Titans rookie WR Treylon Burks showed why he was a hyped prospect on Wednesday, making a sweet one-handed catch in practice.

Burks was lined up man-to-man with Bucs defensive back Kyler McMichael. After the snap, Burks made a sudden move to get outside leverage. McMichael tried mirroring Burks by putting his hand on Burks’ right shoulder. But,  Burks used his right arm to fight off McMichael’s hand. Once Burks had a step on McMichael, QB Ryan Tannehill threw the ball to Burk’s outside shoulder. For a normal receiver, the ball would’ve sailed a little too far over. But for a receiver with the body control, ball skills, and catch radius of Treylon Burks, nothing seems too far. Burks extended his left hand to cup the ball and was able to secure it even after falling to the ground.

This play displayed all the special skills that Burks can bring to the Titans. He’s a vertical threat and can make defenses pay if they stack the box. Additionally, his catch radius is huge, which means Tannehill won’t be pressured to put the ball on the money each time. Moreover, he’s able to secure the ball firmly due to his large hand size.
