NFL Analyst Predicts FSU Football TE's Draft Stock During Senior Bowl Showcase

Draft Season is in full swing, and all eyes are on the all-star games as NFL franchises look for their next up-and-coming stars to play on Sunday. Florida State has three players in the Reese's Senior Bowl, which kicks off on Saturday, February 3 at 1 p.m.

FSU tight end Jaheim Bell is among the players turning heads during practice, and The Draft Network's Justin Melo has predicted three landing spots for the Lake City, FL native in the upcoming NFL Draft.

"Bell’s versatility will allow him to positively impact an NFL offense from a variety of alignments. That makes Bell a desirable prospect," Melo stated.

The Cincinnati Bengals, Los Angeles Chargers, and Houston Texans were the three teams listed as a landing spot for Bell, who is coming off of a 503-yard, two-touchdown receiving season with a 73.3 Pro Football Focus (PFF) offensive grade overall.

"Drafting a pass-catching tight end like Bell would make the Bengals’ offense more versatile heading into what should be a bounce-back season for the franchise," The article stated.

Bell spent one season with the 'Noles after transferring from the South Carolina Gamecocks in 2022. Known as a gadget player who can also line up in the backfield, he added another touchdown on the ground in Florida State's season opener against LSU.

"This offseason is all about surrounding franchise quarterback Justin Herbert with the best supporting cast of his career," Melo stated on the Chargers' need for Bell. "Herbert would appreciate having a weapon like Bell at his disposal as he prepares to execute Harbaugh's offense."

Bell was the No. 1 tight end in the NCAA Transfer Portal and was Second-Team All-ACC in 2023.

"The Texans possess cap space in abundance, but what are they willing to commit to Schultz knowing they roster a bunch of young players that will also command lucrative extensions soon? Even if Schultz returns, drafting young weapons while continuing to build around C.J. Stroud is a fantastic idea. I'd love to watch Bell build chemistry with Stroud in Bobby Slowik's creative offense."

Teammates defensive tackle Braden Fiske and wide receiver Johnny Wilson will join Bell at the Senior Bowl. Wherever he ends up, Jaheim Bell will add a valuable piece to any offense as he continues to grow and progress as a playmaker.
