The Mizzou Minute: Early Tidbits From Mizzou Spring Practice

Missouri Football is underway with their spring practices. Players are already speaking to the media, creating a look into next season's program. With a multitude of players returning, the team has started to make it clear that the veterans have to step up. 

Brady Cook went as far to say that Theo Wease Jr is going to become his "right-hand man on offense," this season. The Tigers have talked about the standard set by the older veterans moving on to the NFL draft, and know how important it is to fill or excel the shoes they are in. 

Though, while the team will be looking to fill the shoes of past players, Brady Cook wants to make it clear that each of the new guys is their own player, no a player that Mizzou used to have. Speaking specifically to the incoming Tiger running backs about not comparing themselves to last year Missouri standout running back Cody Schrader, but instead to use his performances as motivation to create a dynamic attack on the ground for the Tiger's this season. 

The team will carry over the "STP" motto for motivation this year, not looking to play off the big season last year the Tigers seem to prefer the underdog role. As Theo Wease explained his motivation with a telling “nobody cares about Mizzou.” 

The team will look to make anyone who doesn't care about Mizzou eat their words this fall as the team pushes into the new playoff system with big expectations.
