The Team

I'm back in Boston now...and I've officially met everyone on the team. These guys are coo. I didn't know what to expect at first because these are All-Stars that I will be playing with, but everyone is really coo and down to earth. We all have been chillin with each other and our team chemistry seems to be great. We got together a few nights this week over Paul's house and played spades, and today we all went golfing. I've continued my work outs, and they have been going well! I'm really looking forward to the season now! The preseason starts in a few weeks...until then, I will just be working out everyday. I'll holla!

  I think that you guys are going all the way with KG this year! Also can you tell me about Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, Ryan Gomes, etc. and what type of impact do you think they will make this year on my team the timberwolves? Thanks and Good Luck this season!

  I can only imagine what it's like to wake up everyday knowing that today you will be playing with Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce. That must be a crazy feeling, like Devean George with those '04 Lakers. I'm lookin forward to seeing you guys in the playoffs (I know players and coaches hate to think anything is a sure thing, but the roster is just too god not to make it, bar serious injuries), until you meet up with my Chicago Bulls. =)

  What's up Rajon? You don't even know how excited I am about the team this year. I started getting into basketball during the prime of the Big 3 and I've been a lifelong Celtics fan. I was still fairly young though so I didn't connect to those teams in the 80's as much as I did a few years back when Paul and Toine took us on the ride to the Eastern Conference finals. I remember leaving the Jungle after the 21-point comeback against the Nets in the playoffs and saying to my friend, "I can't believe we have tickets to Celts/Lakers in the NBA finals" since we had season tickets and it looked like that was going to happen. Of course it didn't work out, but the excitement that briefly took over the city for a couple of months regarding the C's was something we hadn't felt for a long time and haven't felt since then. Well...things done changed! It's gonna be on and poppin at the Garden this season and hopefully it will stay that way for a long time to come. I know some cats are nervous about a second year point running a team that now has three potential Hall of Famers in the starting 5, but I have no doubt you are ready for the role. You've shown that you have a strong basketball IQ and you should only flourish with this new Big 3 playing along side you. I'm looking forward to watching you grow in the starting role and I think the City of Boston is going to love watching you play. I wish you much success and good health this coming season. I'll be checking the blog all year long. Help put the C's back on top where they belong!

  Rajon, everybody talks about the Big Three only, but can you tell us something more about the new guys which scarcely anybody knows about? I mean, the other two rookies, Jackie Manuel and Brandon Wallace, and also the new signings, Scott Pollard, Eddie House and James Posey. Have you met James yet? Is Scot frolic?

  RR, what's up man? I just saw Donovan McNabb's video blog for the first time, folks send him in questions and he answers them on his webcam. You may already know this, but man, we love your game and we'd be ecstatic if you did the same. Just throwing it out there. Did you see the Miami paper that ranked you as the worst PG in the East??!!! I can't wait till you shove it down their throats.   Rajon, it's great to hear about the enthusiasm this new group has. I am excited to continue watching your development this year. There is no doubt in my mind that you are about to surprise some people.
  I live in Bama, and you used to give us fits when you were at UK. I am so glad you are now on my side. I'm a big fan. Keep working hard. My wife and I are coming up to Boston for the Denver game in early November and we'll be seeing you again in ATL. Hopefully we'll get to talk to you one of those times, otherwise we'll be watching you with on the tube w/ Tommy's commentary of course. Later.

  Rajon I'm an older man 50 years old to be exact and I've watched your play and I'm enamored with your intensity, that clues me in on the potential you possess and it excites me to see you in the years to come.
  I myself was a very good jump shooter and now that I'm older I still have the shot going on but the knees don't allow me to play as much as I like. So now I teach how to shoot the set shot and the jump shot.
  I'm hoping your shot improved over the summer, if not I'm pretty sure you will be quite effective driving the ball to the basket and dishing it to the cutters and open man. I wish you much sucess.

  Rajon as a true fan of yours!! Someone who thought you should have started from the get go last season. I am a long time Celt fan 30+ seasons bleeding GREEN.   I live in Lextown KY, and I've seen you play since your high school days and you don't have a bigger fan, well maybe my brother. I just started reading the blog but I'll be a faithfull reader from now on. If you get the chance Playa try to describe what it's like getting to play in the NBA with the All-Star likes of Pierce, Allen and KG. That's like a fantasy line up, with my man, Rondo leading the the point. Keep on workin out Homes and GO GET 'EM!!
