OBAMA IS THE PRESIDENT!

I just got back in the locker room. We just got the W in Houston, and I had to blog. OBAMA IS THE PRESIDENT! I can't even explain how I feel right now. All I have to say is that we have to repeat, because we have to go back to the White House to meet Obama. I'm glad to see that everyone got out and voted today. I made sure I voted last week before we left for this road trip because I knew how important this election was going to be. Every vote counted! Thanks to everyone that got out and voted today. God Bless America. We did it.

Were you not paying attention to where his money was coming from? About! 80-90% of his campaign contributions came from the people not from the lobbyist. So we may just have another President who is not beholden to big Corpa!?

This was my first time voting.. as I am only 18.. But I cant believe this, and am too happy and shocked... Im happy for this outcome so much. And the fact that Obama won by a landslide, showed that America does want change... And McCain's speech after the loss, made me respect him even more. It was a very respectful and sportsmanship speech. He was emotional, and tho his crowd continued to boo Obama, he told them to stop it, and that showed how much of a respectful guy he is, and how disrespetful his crowd was. I know it was emotional and they were mad for Obama to win, but if they truly respect McCain, they would have stopped with the booing when he asked.

And thanks for the update, and im happy for the W against the Rockets tonight.

  I too thought McCain's speech was very respectful and classy! The crowd did boo and it was very classy how McCain handled the situation.........my respect for McCain after that speech did grow too. I'm glad others felt the same way.

My President is BLACK, My peeps are too, and I be got damned if the voters are too.Finally History in the making. Such an emotional experience to be part of. I was a little worried there about you Rondo, being that you are from Kentucky and McCain won the state of Kentucky I was anxious to see who exactly you voted for. I read an article you commented on saying 1 out of the 15 people on the Roster voted for McCain, glad to know it wasnt you.
It was such an excited night, watching the election flicking the T.V back and forth on each commercial to watch the game. We came out on top. Win for the Presidency and a Win for us(Celtics). Lets get it. Hope we do win this upcoming Championship so you will have the opportunity to meet Mr. President Obama in 09.

The electoral vote indicates a landslide, yes. However, the popular vote was much closer, something like 51% for Obama and 47% for McCain. So, to say that America was ready for a change is not quite a correct statement when nearly half the country voted against Obama. He won key states that carry the most electoral votes, California, Florida, Illinois, New York, etc. Democrats are almost guaranteed the northeast and west coast. States in questions are usually Florida, Ohio, Missouri, etc. The next 4 years should be interesting.

    The popular vote was 52%-48%. Not a landslide by any intelligent human's analysis. And certainly not the largest in 90 years. BTW just where did you get your ridiculous numbers?

I am so proud that Barack Obama won. This was my first time voting and I voted on him because he is going to help us all. There is going to be a brighter future for us indeed. He is our President, and those who are bitter about it need to start coming together. We can not suceed if people refuse to accept this. And I'll have you know, race was not my reason for voting. It was his health care proposals and his women's rights views.

Well, obviously a lot of people are happy that this election occurred as it did. Now, I didn't vote for Obama; nor did I vote for McCain, as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, once affectionately known as "Taxachusetts," is reliably blue in presidential elections. Also, unlike some of those who didn't vote for Obama, I can accept his election; I won't lose any sleep over it. However, I found his campaign platform to be exceptionally lacking, and some of the proposals he is bringing out are a tad frightening to me.

Barack Obama campaigned on "hope and change," and other catchy slogans. Now, the US public finds out that the "change" includes, among other aspects, mandated "community service" for middle school, high school, and university students. I thought required community service came after convictions in lieu of a prison sentence. Yup, that's right, we're all guilty! ;-)

Thanks to David Axelrod, Obama is following the lead of his BFF Deval Patrick, governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. As you should know, Rajon, if you have been paying attention to the activities going on about one-half mile south of the Garden, Governor Patrick rode the exact same planks two years ago to a landslide election, beating an established member of the Democratic machine (Tom Reilly) and a Republican who went negative before establishing important personality and campaign points (Kerry Healey). Yet, in two years, he has not achieved any of the "change" that he promised, unless you count upgrading to a Caddy from a Crown Vic and putting new drapes in the Corner Office. In fairness to him, the General Court (legislature) has blocked a number of his initiatives, but then he turned around and endorsed those same incumbent legislators, including state Sen. Dianne Wilkerson, who the FBI just caught stuffing a wad of bills into her bra.

Even Deval Patrick didn't make his Commonwealth Corps public service organisation mandatory. What Obama is trying to do now looks to me like involuntary servitude, which the Constitution banned at the same time as slavery. Now that the hyper-partisan Rahm Emanuel is his chief of staff, it is likely that he will try to ram this through Congress, and Rahmbo will take great delight in that.

In short, he may have campaigned on "hope and change," but it is increasingly looking like more of the same.

Well, that's my piece on the election. Seriously, though, you are evolving into one of the best point guards in the league, and we the fans appreciate your team-first attitude. I have no doubts that you will continue to get better, especially if that involves developing a consistent mid-range J. Keep it up!

WOW!!!! Awesome game!!!!! Game high 18 points and 8 assists!!! It is SOOOO exciting watching what you do!!!!....the assists, the steals...the defense...the kiss it off the glass shots....and the THREE!!!!! I LOVE P.G.s!! I think they ARE the rulers of the game and I think you are doing a superb job so far!!! I see some real similarities in defense and offense plays of DJ!!! I really don't understand what "WE DID IT" means. Why is it that all African-Americans think the election of Obama was something they did. Obama IS president, sadly. And, as suspected, he's changed his tune. YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE IN CHANGE, he said. WELL, YES. Obama was talking about him changing his tune right after his election. I'm disgusted that I voted for him, as he is like a drum. Makes a loud noise outside, but empty inside. Let's hope he helps turn this country around, but I'm certainly not holding my breath.

I have been a fan of yours since the day I saw you play at Rupp. I have to ask you... What do you think of the current UK squad? And for that matter do you the team improving over last year? It was very hard for me to sit and watch Vanderbilt humiliate us in Rupp last year. I am hoping and praying that it never happens again!!! I am very happy that this country of ours has progressed to where we can elect a man such as Barack Obama. Even if you dont like the man or his viewpoints, his place in history deserves some respect.
