Let it get away
If you were watching the game you know that I injured my ankle in the third quarter. It happened on a fast break and I rolled it. I think I may have stepped on someone's foot, but I still haven't seen the play. It's a different feeling than I've ever had. I've injured my ankle before but this one is unlike the others. The pain is on the inside of my foot. All the other ankle sprains have been on the outside. I will be getting a lot of treatment tonight, tomorrow, Thursday to try to get it ready to go for game 4. I did try to go again in the fourth quarter, but I really couldn't make any hard cuts. No one is 100% at this point, but I was probably 50%. Coach made the right decision taking me out because I didn't have my quickness. E House did a great job filling in. When his name was called he was ready to play and that's big for us. There's no question this one is disappointing. We feel like we had a chance to really put them away and go up 3-0. Paul never had a chance to get in a rhythm because of foul trouble and we just struggled on offense. Even though we played very bad we still had a chance in the end. We just didn't get the stops down the stretch when we needed it. They were very aggressive tonight similar to the way we were in game 2. But in the end we still had a chance but let it get away. Heading back to the hotel and will keep working on my ankle. Lots of ice and I'll keep it elevated. I'll have more later. Until then I'll holla.

No time to dwell on the past so get some good treatment esp. heat on that ankle man because I had that happen when I used to play soccer and your right it's an inside pain. We can get L.A. by being uptempo all game and relay a message to the guys keep those hands up on defense. Let positive thoughts overwhelm your actions for game 4. Have a productive evening.

Thank you for all of the fun updates Good luck with your ankle and I hope it heals quickly so you can get back out there and prove to the Lakers esp Kobe why it's a mistake to dare you to shoot the ball or be aggressive.
I think you are the single most underated player in the playoffs. The plays you have been making for your team have been so exciting to watch keep up the GOOD WORK.
I think you guys played well especially in the 3rd quarter and did have a chance to go up 3-0 but that's now water under the bridge and time to look forward to game 4. I hope you guys come out with aggression like you did in game 2 and get the W.

Do us all a favor and tell KG to GET IN THE POST!!! This LA team is softer than a baby's ass and everyone on the floor should be taking to the rim every time, especially the big ticket when he's missing those long jumpers.
We're looking good though, we are clearly the better team and if we just play Celtics basketball, it doesn't matter how they come out because we are more physical and they are just plain soft

Oh man, I missed posting my answer about an hour after you posted... but hey, it's worth a shot as I actually follow high school basketball around the country...
I know that you broke your own record (27) when you had 31 assist. However, what I can also add (as in my feeble attempt to get a handband) is that when you had 27 assists, it was against Bonner Academy and you dished 31 dimes against Bishop McGinnis. You also won the National High School Player of the Week honors.
:)

I really hope you read this comment. First I want to say I am sorry about your ankle and by the grace of, you will be ready to go Thursday - your an intricate part of the team. NOW LISTEN - I think your a killer point gaurd, you just need to have more killer instinct. You can virtually beat fisher off the dribble and first step everytime , yet I dont know why you hold back. I think you should honestly, stop being timid because you are a SICK point gaurd and start going down the lane to score some points.
I have faith that you guys can win, and should have won in LA yesterday, but you (as in the team) resorted to becoming jump shooter. What happened to bodying them inside like game 1 and 2 and then kicking the ball out. Tell KG to stop that, b4 I buy a front ticket to the game and slap the shit out of him. HE cant be stopped down tell him to STOP settling for long jumpers.
And one more thing...you know the refs have started to apply the same BS calls to Kobe as they did to Wade the year they won it.. BE AWARE OF THIS!!! and make sure they play you guys the same way..the only way to achieve this is to get to the Hole as well!!!!

I hope you get better. When I seen you fall, I was like it's no big deal but when I seen that you were in pain. I knew that they were going to take you out. When you were taken you out I felt so bad. Then I was waiting for them to go down to the locker room to see how you were doing. I was so concerned. But I'm sure you'll get better. Even if you can't play in Game 4 which I hope you can, you guys got E. House ,and as long as your watching the game from the bench supporting the team that's all I care about!
Much love to you Rajon! I'll holla later!

In the end, I think that if the we lose (which I don't think will happen), it will be strictly because of Game 3. You just can't let such a chance slip! But what can you do when Kobe hits each of his miracle shots?
And please, Rajon, tell KG to play inside and stop shooting those 18 footers! It's the Finals!

The Lakers collapsed in the paint very effectively, shutting off consistent penetration, which forced more jump shots than I like to see, especially with the shooting % being low. Thay also contributed to the lack of FT's. At the other end I could see you had gaps in the paint defense that Kobe exploited.
Doc will be hitting the help defense hard to adjust those gaps, and running pick and rolls to try to open up offensive aggression and penetration. But I'm sure you KNOW that, it's about adjustments.
Rest and rehab the ankle, that's the only thing that works........we need your speed and cuts to the basket..........oh, and take some layups will you Rajon, it will pull people to you for dish offs. right now their backing off daring you to shoot.
Victory in game four!!!! Celts in Six.
Celtic Pride.
