Headband Challenge

First of all, wanted to thank the Yard for checking out the blog and for all the comments. I'll have some idle time while getting treatment these next few days so I will try to respond to a bunch of them. Meantime, I want to start a little something new. I'm going to challenge you with some trivia - see how much you know about me. Get the answers right and I'll send you an autographed headband. If a bunch of people get them right then I'll hit the first three. I'm going to do this every day through the rest of the Finals so if you don't get the first one right you'll have another shot. We'll start with a high school question. I went to Oak Hill Academy and 2004 I set the school record for most assists in a game with 31. Who's record did I break? Oh man, I missed posting my answer about an hour after you posted... but hey, it's worth a shot as I actually follow high school basketball around the country...

I know that you broke your own record (27) when you had 31 assists.

However, what I can also add (as in my feeble attempt to get a handband) is that when you had 27 assists, it was against Bonner Academy and you dished 31 dimes against Bishop McGinnis.

You also won the National High School Player of the Week honors.

Maybe an unautographed headband to #4 - 100? We need to spread more Celtics pride! :)

Why are you talking so much about your ankle on this blog in the middle of the series? Can you please wait to do that until it is finished. Its not a smart idea to do and I am surprised none of your teammates have found out and told you not to do so. You guys have a very good chance to win a title this year. You only need two more wins. Rajon, I'm a die hard Celts fan and love ya...so don't take this the wrong way...it's just my opinion. This is the FINALS!! You should be looking at tape of the past 3 games, seeing how you can do better....not having head-band give-away contests lol. Your focus should be on beating the Lakers 24/7 and what you are going to do better. Study the tape again and again man....this may be your last time ever to be a world champion....just think of all the "legends" of the game who have never made it this far. They would have killed to be where you are! You're one of the most important pieces of this team right now....when you play aggressive and focused...we are unbeatable. So this is just my opinion, but If I were you, I'd take a step back, really appreciate where you are right now, and be a mean, focused student of the game till tomorrow night and just OWN!!! whoever they put on you. Make Kobe pay!!! Get him in foul trouble!! And you have to want to play man....get a shot in that ankle and make some history your kids and their kids will look back on one day and be proud of!! Make those NBA classic announcers have to talk about you ALOT when you watch this finals years from now!
Save the contests for after you're holding up that trophy!!

You broke your own record of 27 assist in the same week with 31 and would have set the national record of 35 if coach Steve Smith didn't pull you out of the game!!!! You also were co Team MVP with with Josh Smith, hold the record for single season assist total and are second for single game scoring with 55 points at Oakhill all in your senior year 03-04. Not to mention that team went undefeated and finished 1st in the Nation.

u definetly broke your own record. that would be so cool if i got a headband. when i was in the 3rd grade i wrote a letter to the boston celtics and in retrun i got the same type of headband that paul pierce wears in his games. it was sooo cool!!
